Chevrolet Camaro Concept to debut at the 9th Middle East International Motor Show

After wowing enthusiasts at motor shows globally since its debut at the 2006 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the multi award winning Chevrolet Camaro concept car is all set to make its first Middle East debut at the biennial Dubai-based motor show in November, showing again the importance of the Middle East Motor Show.

The all-new front-engined GT Camaro concept celebrates many of those Chevy's hallmark features in a contemporary way from its Corvette-inspired engine to styling cues that range from the first generation Camaro to today's Corvette Z06.
'Camaro has always been everybody's favourite sports car, and this new concept demonstrates that its spirit is not only relevant for traditional car enthusiasts but also for the new generation. Youthful buyers want a car that makes a statement in its design as much as its performance', says David Venticich Marketing Director for General Motors in the Middle East.

Accolades have started pouring in ever since the show car concept first appeared before critics and enthusiasts. Among them are 'Best in Show', conferred by AutoWeek Magazine and Eyes on Design Concept Implementation Award by a jury of journalists.

According to GM, the hand-built Camaro Concept isn't just a show car. It's a hot brand statement that has also appeared in the movie Transformers, as "Bumblebee', one of the four key characters. Besides its screen debut, in real time it looks at modern motor car engineering values, passionate design and styling while promising exhilarating performance on road as its predecessor. GM also confirmed that one of the key purposes of showing the car at motor shows such as Dubai is to explore customer reaction to design and engineering elements that might lead to a future product and design themes.
We expect to see the Chevrolet Camaro at other important motor shows in the region, like in Jeddah, Riyad and Bahrain.
